I would like to thank you so much for all your support in regards to yesterday’s announcement. In case you missed it, yesterday we announced that from now on Loud Bodies items are available in sizes XXS to 10XL - starting with our new collection and by the end of the week the first sustainable collection will have been updated with the new sizing as well. But about the new collection - how are we feeling about it? There’s a funny-ish story, not really, behind it - my plans were that this collection would be launched on the 1st of August, hence the summery feel. But then everything, every single provider was late with their delivery, then our production capacity is halved due to the safety measures I’ve introduced, which means we move a lot slower & we were really behind so we could not sew the new items, had to catch up on orders first. So I was stuck with a decision that was pretty bad on both ends - keep the fabrics until Spring, but that would mean a big investment that doesn’t get covered for almost 6 months, or release a Summer collection in Autumn ? Not happy with either, but sometimes this is what running your own business looks like - you still have to make the best of what you’ve got even when what you’ve got is pretty crappy ? Everything looks very professional because we work our butts off for it, but Loud Bodies is still a tiny baby brand compared to others. There’s me, my incredible partner, @costrut , who built our site & takes all our photos, the incredibly talented @veronica.tomos who helps me with everything from drafting the items, to packing the orders, design, scaling patterns and together we are basically doing the jobs of at least 6 people and our two lovely seamstresses. That’s it, five people behind all of this. Which is both incredible, yet also stressful and it means we cannot move as fast or operative as big brands, who design their collections with a year in advance and deliver orders in like 4 minutes compared to us. I have derailed a bit, my point today was sorry for the Summer collection in Autumn, I know it’s weird, I hope you like it regardless. Would love to hear which item is your favourite!
